Field 'settings' doesn't have a default value

Getting the following error when I try to enable:

Field 'settings' doesn't have a default value

I know I've seen this before when a SQL database is created without setting default values. What can I do about it?

   Hi Jim,

   I haven't seen that before. A couple of questions:

   1. What version of EE are you running?
   2. Is this a fresh installation of MailChimp Subscribe?

   It's EE 2.2.2 and Yes it's a fresh install of Mailchimp Subscribe.

   I have an installation of EE 2.2.2 running here, so I'll try to reproduce the problem. Very strange that nobody has ever encountered (or at least reported) it before now.
